Cookie Swap, Recipe Swap, and Other Deliciousness Thread

Ask, Neighbor Lady, and here it is!

Are you interested in a Holiday Cookie Swap? KLee will organize, just comment here that you want to send and receive a batch of cookies and/or other goodies, and KLee will fill in the details.

Are you looking for a recipe or have one to share? Turkey tips? Stuffing/dressing controversies? Favorite Holiday Punch? What to serve at the Open House for the whole congregation (er, maybe that's just me)? What to fix for supper while you're busy with other holiday baking? Comment here, too.

Edited to add:

Details added to comments about how to participate in the Cookie Swap!
If you would like to participate, please see the comments and follow the directions! Thanks! -- KLee

mmmmm.....cookies....! Thanks for putting this thread up, Esperanza!

I will make my famous "Christmas Crack" cookies, otherwise known as Praline Cookies for my recipient, and I will include the recipe with the cookies. I will wait until after mailing said cookies before posting the recipe here, though. (Can't give away my patented secret too early!)

I'm in for the cookie swap, but don't know what I'm making yet. Might be candy.

I'll make Chocolate Dropkins! Formerly known in my family as chocolate doody balls until my killjoy husband made us change the name so as not to offend his mother's delicate sensibilities.

I'm in, but I don't know what I'm making. Could do oatmeal scotchies, but I'm thinking that there are so many mint chocolate lovers here at the Whiners' Ball, maybe I should do something mint-chocolatey. We'll have to see...

Oh yum! I'm in, but I don't know what to make. My favorites only turn out sometimes, but I try every year anyway. I'll make a backup batch of sugar cookies.

oy, JenR!

KLee, how do you want to organize the actual exchange of cookies? Or will this be an all-recipe online exchange?

Okay -- the way this works:

Everyone who would like to participate, please send an email to me at harlequin@bellsouth.net with your real name (gasp!) and snail mail address. On December 1st, I will put all the names in a hat, and will randomly pull names from a hat to match up a giver with a give-ee. (You will not necessarily swap with the person that pulled your name, but each person will send out a box of home-made treats and then get one in return.)

You must mail your package by December 15th. You may include a holiday card and the recipe in your package. Ready, set, go!
