Special Edition: Super Snow-valanche!

Yikes, it looks like this storm is out-doing the last big one! We just have more rain (again), but many pixies live in the Land O'Snow. Hope everyone is doing OK!

I also hear tell of some football game, which apparently requires every viewer to acquire quantities of nachos and/or chicken wings, at a minimum. Haven't there been enough football games already? I shall be avoiding the Sports Worship area of the house during the relevant time frame, whenever that is.

Thread now open for your emergency weekend whining pleasure.

Endless loop of antiwhine/whine:

antiwhine--Activities cancelled--I don't have to drive anyone anywhere

whine--Activities cancelled--everyone is home--I can't get anything done!

Repeat, as needed:-)

yay, emily's power is on!

I've been s flipping busy that I haven't had time to check the WW in two weeks! Boooo on that!

The flip side of that is that I just took my mid-term and got a 98 on it! (See, there's perks -- you gotta look for them!)

I probably won't be around much for the next moneth as it's cookie time. Ugh. Blasted cookies. My schedule for the next month looks like Sue's church zombies got hold of it, and demanded even more meetings to see why they're having so many meetings.

See you guys in March! Possibly. If the cookies don't kill me first.

Whine: no possibility of getting out of the neighborhood, more snow predicted for Tuesday.

Antiwhine: still have power, heat, no trees falling on the house, work officially closed for tomorrow. (Neighbors who don't have power or heat are sleeping in our basement.)

Whine: The kids are going to be in school until July at this rate.

*hugs* to all the Pixies who are dealing with this latest snowvalanche.

Whine: my ribs still hurt and I'm out of those lovely pills that take all the pain away.

I, too, have avoided the game. Though I want the Saints to win, just cuz NO needs something to celebrate. Now, THERE is a place when whining is probably rampant (and should be).

oh, elizabeth! glad the power and all is on for you, and hosting the neighbors for sleepovers is good for bonding, right? but sheesh. hoping y'all dig out soon.

hi, tara! really sorry about your ribs still hurting so badly. maybe worth a re-check?

i heard tell that the saints did win -- so hope new orleans has a great celebration!

Sending out good thoughts to those w/out power. We lost ours for only a few minutes early Saturday morning, haven't lost it since.

not really a whine... but toddlers are weird. Mine insisted on sleeping with a bath towel last night. When we told him his was wet, he sobbed. Good thing we had another that looks exactly the same.

Welcome Tara! Hope you find some pain relief!

More snow forecasted for Tuesday night into Wednesday. Yikes.

antiwhine--if this keeps up, I may actually increase my upper body strength (which is woeful, at the moment). Why does snow look so light on the ground, yet weigh so much on the shovel?

whine--the driveway is already lined with snow mountains--dreading the thought of having to lift the deceptively heavy snow up on top.

I'm considering hibernation. Snow doesn't matter and no laundry either;-).

More snow expected Tuesday - Wednesday.

So glad to hear from those who have power!

I nominate Elizabeth for a good neighbor award. I hope your guests brought the contents of their fridge with them!

Liz, so sorry you aren't snug at home with your guys.

Thanks everyone for the love and pixie hugs - I need every one of them.

We take our Mr. Man Ouzo in tomorrow morning to be put to rest. He's suffered enough. Even the vet cried as we all made the decision on conference call this morning. My hubby is coming with me in the morning. I wasn't sure he would, but he loves that little ball of fur so much - he wants to hold him while he makes that journey to Whatever Comes Next.

As for the church zombies - they can eat all the brainz I have left and I could frankly care less. Jerks.

Best wishes and good energy for all who have to wait out the storm. Wishing power for everyone and heat in these cold winter days.

Tonight we're just planning on spoiling our poor sick boy with whatever goodies he wants - tuna, chicken, beef, whatever - we're just going to love him up lots and wait out a very long night before we have to say goodbye.

whine: still no sign of a plow. I really don't know when we're going to be able to get out at this rate.

antiwhine: still have power, still have heat, still have internet, still have a solid roof, even made it to the grocery store today (walked out, and ran into a neighbor there who gave me a ride most of the way home). And have a job where I still get paid on days like this. (And am doing work from home even though we're officially closed with the feds.)

oy, teh snow, elizabeth.

Sue -- so sorry. You have our sympathy and love, and Ouzo does, too. Much love to you and yours, and the little man.
